Laura Flanders is the host of GRITtv, and of "RadioNation" (formerly ’The Laura Flanders Show’) on the Air America Radio network, and was a former host of Your Call (formerly ’Working Assets Radio’). Flanders was founding director of the Women’s Desk at the media watch group, FAIR and for more than ten years she was a producer/host of FAIR’s nationally-syndicated radio program, CounterSpin.

She is the author of Blue Grit: True Democrats Take Back Politics from the Politicians, and her last book Bushwomen: Tales of a Cynical Species, an investigation into the women in George W. Bush’s Cabinet. (March, 2004, Verso.) She is also the author of Real Majority, Media Minority; the Cost of Sidelining Women in Reporting (Common Courage Press, 1997), and The W Effect; Sexual Politics in the Age of Bush. (Feminist Press, 2004.) She writes regularly for Tompaine.com, The Nation, Ms. Magazine and Znet. Her op-ed pieces have appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle.
