Susan George was born in the United States and lives in Paris. She is associate director of the Transnational Institute in Amsterdam (
www.tni.org) and vice president of ATTAC-France. From 1990 to 1995 she served on the Board of Greenpeace International. She has acted as a consultant to several United Nations agencies and is a frequent public speaker for NGOs in numerous countries. She is the author of eleven books, including
